SonBeams

Ujima's SonBeams are energetic, inquisitive, and independent! They are engaged in Bible-based study no less than twice a week. Free play time in a controlled environment is always a part of their scheduled activities because our Department of Christian Education has learned, "A little play-time makes for a much more focused and responsive learning and instruction-time." Our wonderful and dedicated volunteer instructors provide a warm and secure environment that enables the SonBeams to feel comfortable sharing their questions as well as how they understand the importance of showing the Love of Christ to others.

The SonBeams, age 6 to 9, in addition to regular classes have an annual "Lock-in" in conjunction with the Armor Bearers (age 10-12). The Lock-in is a wonderful overnight evnt that includes games, activities, crafts, movies, surprise guest speakers and peer sharing. Many of the Recreation Ministry trips are also geared toward the interests and benefit of the SonBeams.
